About Us

Pocatello Simplot Credit Union’s was chartered December 31, 1955.   We proudly serve the J.R. Simplot employees and their families.  PSCU was started by a handful of employees who wanted to create a better financial option for the employees of Simplot’s Don Plant located in Pocatello, Idaho.   We now serve Simplot employees at facilities across the West.

Back in 1955, Al Parisot, ran the Credit Union from his accounting desk at the plant in Pocatello.  At that time, employees had to work for Simplot a minimum of 6 months before they were eligible for services.  Additionally, PSCU housed only share savings and wrote loans.  If the Credit Union didn’t have enough money to fund your loan you waited until the deposits came in.  Over time the product offering expanded and we became full service.   Located across the street from the Don Plant in the Frontier Building, the Credit Union rented its space from Simplot and remodeled the building to include a drive up window.

In August of 2013 the Credit Union purchased their first brick and mortar location two miles down the highway from the Don Plant, 1880 Garrett Way.  Our first ATM was also installed at the Branch.   We are constantly striving to improve products, services, and innovations to meet the needs of our growing membership.  Nearly 65 years later we are still helping Simplot Employees and their families achieve financial success.
